Red Dead Redemption is set out to be the #1 epic western game of 2010 and these previews don’t lie about it either.
Short after the second Gameplay Video was released, big gaming websites such as: IGN and 1 UP updated their sites with a preview.

Puddles and dust: The weather may or may not have a direct impact on the game (I’m holding out hope that slick roads will make it easier to power-slide with your horse), but they will have visual impact on the world around you. The thunderstorms and rain that roll across the desert not only cast the world in a suitable, dreary grey — they leave behind puddles of water that grow larger the longer it rains. But also as expected in the desert, when the sun starts beating down, that water won’t last long.
I found the cover system to be quite fluid and easy to master. It helps that Rockstar has littered every story section I’ve seen thus far with ample short walls and buildings to duck behind at a moment’s notice. The fight up the ridge was quite a long fight, but it took place through the ruins of some old adobe and brick buildings.
