Agent no longer a PS3-Exclusive?

During Spike/GameTrailers TV E3 All Access live show, host Geoff Keighley asked Sony America (SCEA) CEO Jack Tretton on wether or not Agent was still in the work. The answer was that yes, the game is still very much in the works.

But Jack Tretton couldn’t give a straight “No” when asked on wether or not Rockstar Games Agent is still a PS3-Exclusive. He instead say “I’m not sure exactly where we’ll land on that, that’s more something for Rockstar to decide, but i’m sure we’ll have a great offering on Agent for Ps3″.

This makes us think. Could Agent be coming to the Xbox 360? Perhaps even the new Nintendo Wii U and the PSVita?

Keep in mind that this is still very much a rumour.

We’ll keep you up to date under E3 on any news related to Rockstar Games, as always! Stay tuned to rockstarbase.com and our official twitter at twitter.com/rockstarbase

Take Two Confirmed for E3 2011

e311

Rockstar’s parent company Take Two Interactive is confirmed to be attending the E3 2011 that will be held in Los Angeles from 7th of June until the 9th.
Last year Rockstar backed out of E3 because they wanted to invest more time in their projects.
Let’s look at the possible announcements and current project reveals we speculated about last year and join the discussion!

What we already know.

Rumours and possible announcements.

  • New GTA Teaser?
  • Bully 2
  • Manhunt 3
  • New Portable Game?

Agent:
E3 2011 will start on 7th of June and will end the 9th.
At that time it’s been 2 years since we’ve got the Agent announcement.
We are hoping to get a trailer of any sort of media that involves Agent!

L.A Noire:
Rockstar kept their word, L.A Noire is in the spotlight everywhere and it deserves to be. A release date is yet unknown. It could be before E3 or after.

Max Payne 3:
This is one I’m really curious about, we haven’t heard anything of Max in a long time and the ‘New style’ wasn’t being received so well by the gaming audience.
Is Rockstar giving Max Payne 3 a reboot? Are we getting a trailer? We hope so!

New GTA Teaser?
3 years ago Grand Theft Auto IV was released and after that Rockstar released more highly acclaimed titles but we all know that every Rockstar fan out there can’t wait for a new GTA.
We just need to have a little patience..

Bully 2:
Last year composer Shawn Lee accidently  ’confirmed’ Bully 2:

“Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future…”

We’ll let you talk and think about the other ones…

When the E3 is happening be sure to leave a browser tab open with RockstarBase.com as we will provide you with all the Rockstar news that will be coming out of Los Angeles!

Rockstar Games aiming for the PSP2?

According to the rumours, Sony is working in their lab on the new PlayStation Portable 2 and is getting it ready to be dropped around the fall of 2011.
Sony is announcing the PlayStation Portable 2 this January 27th in Tokyo, where they are going to give us fans all the goody information about the new hardware.

So my question is (of course!) will Rockstar Games be getting themselves ready for the PlayStation Portable 2?
Over many years fans have cried that Rockstar Games never came out with San Andreas Stories for the PlayStation Portable, so will we be seeing San Andreas Stories this fall or will Rockstar Games come with a brand new mind blowing game?

Vote on the poll for what game you wish that Rockstar Games should develop for the PlayStation Portable 2!

Rockstar Games says NO to Fox’s GTA-movie idea starring Eminem!

According to the New York Magazine, 20th Century Fox had an idea for an Grand Theft Auto movie that they wanted to collaborate with Rockstar Games for. But according to New York Magazine Rockstar Games said ”No” to this movie project, because they didn’t want to sell 20th Century Fox any rights for a Grand Theft Auto movie and also because Rockstar Games would had got low procent cut of money from the movie.

20th Century Fox has now made some changes to the cancelled Grand Theft Auto movie and goes now by the name of Random Acts of Violence starting the Detroit rapper Eminem. Random Acts of Violence is now going to be more of an The Departed and The Town type of movie. The movie script is about a white male (Eminem) that is trying to be get away from the criminal life but is being dragged in again by his old gang and the FBI. There is no date yet set for when the thriller movie is coming out.
