A interview with the founders of one of the biggest GTA-Fansites on the web, GtaGaming.com ! 
Thomas: First off Thanks for the interview!
Can you tell us a little more about the history of GtaGaming.com?
Kodo: GTAGaming.com started out as the Vice City Resource about 7 years ago. Over that time it has changed in various ways as talented GTA fans and web staff joined the site. It started out only covering the news on Vice City, now it has expanded to all things GTA and that is possible because of so many devoted fans.
When did the website really took off? So when did you became big?
Zidane: The site kicked off to a great start, really. We started putting up content that bigger sites didn’t have, which is how we ended up being along side of the bigger, more well-known sites about a year later.
When did you guys got involved in Grand Theft Auto? From GTA1 or later?
Kodo: I started playing GTA3 just before Vice City was talked about, so it was an exciting time.
Zidane: I began playing GTA with the very first one, but really got hooked when a friend showed me GTA3.
Can you speak of a ” GTA Website Boom” at the time you started Gtagaming.com? There are a lot of GTA websites around, and only a few are the “Big boys”.
Kodo: I’m not sure about this. There will always be competitors because the big boys were there when we started, too. It might have to do with the timing of the games in the GTA series. We established ourselves early and the series became more popular over time.
Modding has always been a big thing in the gaming industry, and that’s not different with GTA. So was the GTA mods database always a idea from the start?
Zidane: Mods for Vice City weren’t around, since Vice City for PC wasn’t out yet. Our site started with Vice City and up, so of course we didn’t have any GTA3 mods available at the time. Mods came around later when we merged with Neil Christie’s Vice City modding website.
Which GTA is your favorite, and why?
Kodo: Vice City is my favorite because a lot of memories are attached to that time. I have definitely played VC longer than any of the others.
Zidane: Vice City, hands down. Like Kodo said, lots of memories and good times with that game. It was probably the only game I ever felt such a high level of anticipation for.
What GTA title generated the most hype on GTAGAMING.com? More Traffic, Topics,etc.
Kodo: I believe it might have been San Andreas, but GTA IV was huge too.
When did GTAGAMING.com got recognized by Rockstar?
Zidane: We were recognized since the very beginning. Rockstar first established a relationship with GTAGaming (then, Vice City Resource) by sending press releases and screenshots for Vice City.
Big plans for GTAGAMING.com in the future? Or any other projects?
Kodo and Zidane: It all comes down to the next Grand Theft Auto.
